I regret to agree with Doogie that Hoggeritis is not a medical condition.  However, as is typical of his haughty profession, his analysis is flawed and diagnosis erroneous.  No one with this affliction is in control of their life.

Hoggeritis is a spiritual ailment first described in the book of Mark in 5:2 when the "man with the evil spirit came from the tombs."  In those days Jesus healed this condition as described in Mark 5:12-13. "The demons begged Jesus, 'Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.'' He gave them permission, and the evil spirits went into the pigs."  Exorcising the evil spirits from the man into the pigs is the reason for this demonic haunting now being called Hoggeritis.

Pills and cutting of the flesh, "modern" medicine's remedy to everything, cannot solve this, as already conceded by Doogie.  Is there still a leech collection in the doctor's bag? Counseling and 12 step processes may temper the symptoms.  But, ongoing head shrinking and group sessions have not prevented the repeated backsliding seen at every Hog gathering. The folly of these learned malpractitioners is fruitless.

The only cure for Hoggeritis is an exorcism as shown by the example in Mark 5:15.  After exorcism, "they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind". 

A hog high priest needs to be appointed to conduct the paranormal cleansing and rid the hogs of this spiritual malady.  I can elucidate further for those challenged by the truth of this matter.
